Inner Party Of Defence, Communism and Redstone

IPODCORE, or The Inner Party Of Defence, Communism and Redstone, is a political party of the Kaktus Republic which is devoted to three ideals:

  • Defence, or the protection of the country, at any cost possible, wherever that be on land, air, sea or even space.
  • Communism, or the freedom and happiness of the people, and to hold up the underlying beliefs and ideals of equality and fairness.
  • Redstone, or the modern innovation available to us today, which we use to hold up all three of these beliefs and to strive us into the future.

History

Created after the first election for SSC was announced, this party was created by Johngi. The main goal of the party (which is how it's going to be referred to for the rest of this page) is to use the power of redstone to bring new innovation everywhere.

Defence

The first ideal of the party, defence is vital to the wellbeing of the country. It is necessary that we safeguard our country, and that is why the party has many proposals to improve defence.

Doctrine

Fighting requires doctrine to guide soldiers in making right decisions.

Land Combat

When fighting on land, the idea is not to overwhelm the enemy, rather to make them think they have overwhelmed us. SSC is not the largest place in the world, and other cities can ally to create forces too strong for the SSC. Each division should be camouflaged and given long-range weapons. They are to use the terrain to their advantage, and the weapons when the time is right.

Of course, the enemy needs to be preoccupied. To do this, we need distractions in the form of artillery and constant bombing by planes, but most importantly, squadrons of tanks are the best at this job. They are quick, nimble and have good power against infantry. Tanks are hard to catch, so they should be used to distract, and not to attack.

So, divisions should be focused on rocket launchers, and armed with some machine guns in case of the worst. They are to infiltrate the enemy lines and strike from behind. If the worst comes to bear, and the infantry cannot go behind the lines, they should focus fire and charge in a large frontal assault, while being assisted by bombers.

Air combat

Air combat is composed of three types of combat:

  • Ground Support (or tactical bombing)
  • Supply destruction (or strategic bombing)
  • Air Superiority

These three types of combat are of equal importance.

Weapons

Basically: Big guns. Ok but seriously, manpower is expensive, which is why we totaly thought of making giant robots to mow down infantry like roadkill. In other news:

Factories

I propose making, well, many more factories, full of weapons, tanks, robots, cannons and bombs. We need ports to transport these for to the ssc. For a country that has a military, we have surprisingly little materiel.

Infantry Weapons

Missile launchers and machine guns, as stated before. But where do we get these weapons? We need some sort of specialised factories built in the Kaktus republic making weapons for infantry, and trucks, and so on.

Air Combat

We need bombs, and cannons for fighters. We also need factories for this.

Redstone

Redstone is very good for any function, from stations to large scale power systems. Making something look good is only good when it has a cool function too.

Stations

To make a rail line, you can do so many things. You can make a good looking train, then add a sign that teleports you to the next train. You can make a simple redstone minecart system that slowly lets you travel around the server. Or, you can go really complex: a high speed minecart system. A system that abuses the high-speed mechanics of ucars and glitches should be able to not only create fast travel, but scenic and smooth travel too. Who doesn't want to see the ssc, flashing past the windows, on an express train to who knows where? On that note, train systems need to be implemented from ssc to elsewhere.

For that, we need a station design. As I said, why make a simple warp train system, when we can make a redstone system together? Figure out all the complexities, and at the same time make it look good? That is surely something we should do, right?
