IntraBahn is a traincart passenger rail company owned by Intra. Founded after the adoption of the traincarts plugin in December 2023, it formally commenced operations on January 10, 2024.

IntraBahn is a member of the Railway Companies’ Association (RCA).

IntraBahn categorizes its services as follows:

Mainline Services

Mainline Services run long distances along IntraBahn’s mainline corridors, making all local stops. They are designated with a number and are colored light blue on maps and signage.

Mainline Express Services

Mainline Express Services are the express variants of Mainline Services, running long distances along IntraBahn’s mainline corridors and making express stops only. They are designated with the same number as their local stopping parent Mainline Services and the letter X, and are colored pink on maps and signage.

Branch Services

Branch Services run part of the route of a mainline corridor starting at one end before branching off at a certain point to serve a branch line, making all local stops. They are designated with the number of their parent Mainline Service followed by a letter, and are colored red on maps and signage.

Branch Express Services

Branch Express Services are the express variants of Branch Services, running part of the route of a mainline corridor starting at one end before branching off at a certain point to serve a branch line, making express stops only on the mainline, and sometimes making express stops only on their branch line. They are designated with the number and letter of their parent Branch Service followed by the letter X, and are colored red on maps and signage.

Shuttle Services

Shuttle Services are short services that usually connect passengers from other services to other nearby points of interest. Unlike Branch Services, they do not interline with Mainline Services for significant distances, instead running only a short distance and requiring passengers to transfer for further travel. They are designated with two letters, usually corresponding to the name of a city they serve, and are colored lime green on maps and signage.

Special Services

Special Services are nonstandard, temporary services created for a specific circumstance, such as a special event. They are designated with the letter S, and are colored black on maps and signage.

Ticketing

All IntraBahn passengers must take a ticket at their station before boarding the train. Tickets can be found either in a ticket hall in the station mezzanine or on the station platform itself.
