Moderate Party (Meridia)
The Moderate Party is a centrist Meridian political party founded on October 28th, 2022 by Toth_1, formerly known as Purrcat2010, who is currently the only member of said party. In lore, it is one of the most common parties to be in opposition. In the real MRT, it has never won an election in Meridia, but it has come in second place every time, though. After the second election, it officially became less roleplay focused, as evidenced by the adoption of it’s current motto (see Quick Facts).

Background
Toth_1, upon becoming a citizen of Meridia, wanted to make a party, but wanted to try something new. He would go on to make a party not in line with his beliefs, but one to suit the situation and to draw in members.
Lore
The party was formed out of the merger of the Progressive Party, the holder of the first freely elected government in Meridia in the 1990s, and the Liberal Democratic Party, which was the cause of the Meridian Miracle. The parties merged so that they can be a strong centrist bloc in Meridian politics, to engage the next generation in politics, and to cope with hardships inflicted by the recently ended recession.
