I feel like this becomes way to complex with the SARPS system..., runway doesnt always have t be "insert size" wide and not all airports have space for the taxiway signage etc., not all irl airports have taxiway lights etc. Now runway requirements are realisticly wide but almost undoable for most place in the MRT server. request making that number (a little) smaller. This way only international airport ill ever be class 1 while there are other airports that could be class 1 possibly. ~autobus22

IATA and ICAO codes

Can someone please define what these codes are exactly and what conventions should be used for giving these codes to a new airport. The Template:Airport infobox refers to this page so I expected there to be an explanation on this page.

ICAO codes are a 3 letter code decided by the airport owner (usually some abbreviation for the formal airport name) while IATA appears to be an N (for new world) followed by the 3 letter code used for ICAO. Camelfantasy (M e h) 10:53, 17 October 2016 (EDT)
