Town Building Contest
The Town Building Contest was a event held by SimonScholar between April and June 2022.
Production
On February 20, 2022, SimonScholar sent a message in #event-announcements asking people if they were interested in a town building competition, where the locations the participants choose are from the other participants of the contest and Simon, and an event proposal was submitted to March 2022 GSM's agenda.
After the event proposal was approved on March 2022 GSM, sign-ups for the contest opened, with 14 people signing up by April 2, 2022, when it closed, and a few more people joining mid-contest, for a total of 19 people who participated in the contest. The building period ended on May 27, with a copy of New World being uploaded to Beta for staff to vote towns on, which ended on June 12, 2022.
On June 12, 2022, the results were announced, with kingsnake winning the contest for their town, Chattanooga.
