Kotori

Kotori, fully Limited Express Kotori, is a train service operated by West Zeta Rail and StevRail.

History

The idea of a warp train line connecting Noboribetsu and Nagoya was conceived by StevenSmh, after a discussion about Shinkansen lines in November 24, 2023. The line was named Kotori, after Kotori Minami, a character from Love Live!, since chimata had a tab open for her while discussing the naming of this line. According to Love Live Wiki, the name Kotori (ことり) could have different meanings depending on what kanji is used to write the name, including 小鳥 (small bird).

The trains used for Kotori was based off the E3 series used in Shinkansen, built by chimata.

Route

The service runs from Noboribetsu to Hinanawi Town.
