The MS Mokupuni Sun, previously known as Azalea Red from her time with Azalea Cruises, is a cruise ship owned and operated by Mokupuni Cruises. She is the lead ship of the Sun class of ships.
History
Azalea Red was the first ship that Azalea Cruises purchased. She was 85m long and weighed 9,857 GT.
She was initially built for Aqua Cruises as Sun Aqua in March 1989 before Aqua Cruises cancelled the order due to financial constraints, which was picked up by Azalea. Both ships were completed in their original design, and by February 1994, Azalea began using her on the Miu Wan to Elecna Bay route. Azalea Red continued sailing until June 2017, when she was sold to Mokupuni Cruises as Mokupuni Sun. She still operates today through the Mokupuni Islands.
Ports of call
Mokupuni Sun is planned to sail within the Mokupuni Islands.
