Zaquar North is a station in northern Zaquar, next to the ZS29 MRT station. The station is notable for being IntraRail's second station, and its oldest station still existing in its original form, having been built in early October 2016 shortly after the formation of IntraRail.
The station, as with all of IntraRail's stations in Zaquar, was built and is owned by the Zaquar Department of Transportation, which works closely with IntraRail, as part of IntraRail's early network in Zaquar. Tracks 1 & 2 were built for the IntraRail Whiteliner, with service southbound to Zaquar Onika T. Maraj Station, Zaquar's main rail terminal. Northbound trains terminated at Zaquar North temporarily for about a week until being extended to Whiteley, and later to cities further west, eventually to Heampstead Kings Cross Railway Terminal in January 2017.
Two bypass tracks were built between Tracks 1 & 2 for all other traffic departing Zaquar Onika T. Maraj Station.
Tracks 3 & 4 were built for the IntraRail Zaquar Zephyr, a shuttle train with local service in Zaquar. Northbound trains operated to the Zaquar Shores station at ZS28 , and southbound trains operated to the Zaquar Airport station at Zaquar Ménage et Trois Regional Airport.
In December 2016, the Zaquar Department of Transportation rebuilt a portion of its mainline through Zaquar and rebranded the line as the Zaquar Railway Corridor. The original Zaquar Onika T. Maraj Station was demolished and replaced with a much larger, multilevel station that allowed for other rail companies besides IntraRail. The station was also built to support through service, contrast to the original station, which was a terminal that only supported terminating trains from the north.
The Zaquar Airport station on the Zaquar Zephyr was abandoned and replaced by a new Zaquar Ménage et Trois Regional Airport station directly located on the Zaquar Railway Corridor south of Zaquar Onika T. Maraj Station. Whiteliner trains were extended south to terminate at the new airport station, Zaquar Zephyr service was truncated to run only between Zaquar North and Zaquar Shores, and Track 3 at Zaquar North was taken out of service.
On October 4, 2017, the outbreak of the Kitania Civil War resulted in IntraRail suspending all service to Zaquar, and Zaquar North station was closed. Whiteliner trains were truncated to Whiteley, and Zaquar Zephyr trains did not run at all, during the duration of the civil war. The station remained closed for almost two years, reopening on August 25, 2019, when IntraRail restored service to Zaquar following the end of the war. Zaquar Zephyr trains resumed their previous routing, however the Whiteliner did not return to the station, as IntraRail decided to replace the Whiteliner with the Southern Cardinal as the local train in Zaquar, with service to Zaquar Ménage et Trois Regional Airport and Zaquar North in addition to the main terminal at Zaquar Onika T. Maraj Station.
Southern Cardinal trains have since operated to the station with service to Utopia, while the Whiteliner now bypasses the station and terminates at Zaquar Onika T. Maraj Station with IntraRail's other Zaquar services.
