eristheeagle was a guest that became a meme in the server long after they got banned for advocating for "guest rights".
Description
On November 1, 2013, eristheeagle created a wiki account and edited the MRT Wiki. On August 14, 2014, in their talk page, Music3_0 said that guests weren't supposed to edit the Wiki, as told by the admins, but KittyCat11231 argued otherwise. This led to the blocking of eristheeagle from the Wiki by thomasfyfe for "inserting false information", and led to the ban of guests from editing the Wiki.
On August 30, 2014, eristheeagle joined the MRT Server and complained that the member application and the warning system at this time were "guest abuse", and saying that the ban after having too many member applications declined was "permaguest but worse", and somehow made themselves a "meme". Later in the day, Frumple banned the guest with the reason "You're the weakest link, goodbye."
Long after the ban, in 2017, the guest changed their username. As of May 22, 2023, their current username is "Calvin_13". Vulpicula changed the name of their alt to eristheeagle, and immediately got in trouble with MinecraftYoshi26 upon joining the server, despite Vulpicula having staff permission beforehand.
Legacy
- eristheeagle serves as the namesake for Eristheeagle Memorial Municipal Airport and The Eagle Awards.
- When you run /rig, it says that the next winner will be eristheeagle, although it is obfuscated.
- Vulpicula was confused with eristheeagle on 2016 in the Discord server, stemming from that they were still named "Eris" at this time.
- eristheeagle is frequently used as a placeholder, in place of other people, and occasionally used for jokes.
