Using minor edits to prevent main page spam

Just a suggestion that we replace the recent changes string in the main page to prevent it from showing minor edits. While this seems like a potential security threat at first, it is actually very beneficial for editors developing templates and/or making large edits, as they could then uncheck the first edit and mark subsequent(spammy) edits as minor, therefore prevent spam appearing on the main page. Also, I'd like to point out that "show preview" button has no impact on decreasing spam when used on template pages, because the template first needs to be saved before it can be called from another page. That option is in user settings, where you can hide minor edits from what you see in recent changes. Camelfantasy (M e h) 11:34, 17 June 2016 (EDT)
