Peninsula Capital (sometimes referred to as just Capital, or in some cases Peninsula City; the term "PCT", which technically refers to the territory it is in, is also used interchangeably) is a city in Peninsular Capital Territory and is the capital of Northern Peninsula. It was inaugurated as the capital of the country in 2003 in order to relieve the dense southern area of the country of its governmental duties, though construction started as early as the late 1970s, initially as a planned district to Sayando with a long term plan to turn it into the capital later on. As per the 2022 estimate, Peninsula Capital had a population of 135,618.
