Rainer Bay is a mayor ranked town located in a peninsula on Ocean 50. It has a relatively flat landscape with multiple savannah plateaus breaking up the flat ground. It is NetworkSoutheast's only town as of 22 January 2024.

History

Rainer Bay was founded on the 24th September 2023 by NetworkSoutheast, who managed to get the nearby MRT station from Barley. It experienced rapid growth before it hit councillor, when development slowed down significantly. However, upon reaching mayor, development started again, albeit at a relatively slow rate. It wasn't until the 20th December 2023 when development started to speed up again. Nowadays, Rainer Bay is a fast growing town in the southeastern region of zeta, with new buildings appearing every week.

By road

The B471 connects this town with nearby Cape Rainer.

By MRT

The town has one station, U105, accessible by using the Valley line spawn warp and riding the Union line anti-clockwise from there until you reach the station.

By seaplane

Rainer Bay is served by Rainer Bay Delta Terminal, which has numerous flights throughout the world. Major destinations by seaplane include the MRT Marina, Nuuk and Kazeshima.

By helicopter

The town is served by Rainer Airways HeliLink and CampLines HeliLink at Rainer Bay Delta Terminal, which operate to numerous destinations.

Rapid Transit

Rapid transit in the town is operated by the RBRT, and is fairly limited, with 3 stations on the entire network.

Bus

The town has a relatively far reaching bus network, with frequent buses from transit hubs such as U105, Delta Terminal and the Central Station. However, the bus network is relatively disconnected, and is nearly unusable due to a route rework.

By car

Rainer Bay has standard width 3-wide lanes on it's roads, with an extensive road network connecting the town together. The main road in downtown is Colorado Boulevard.

By foot

Almost all roads in the town have sidewalks, with several pedestrian only streets too. Most sidewalks also have shrubbery on the edges near the road, which separates road traffic from pedestrians.

Landmarks

• RN Tower

The tallest tower in the region by far, the RN Tower, based off of the CN Tower, stands at an impressive 228 meters tall, allowing it to be highly visible throughout the city. It features an observation deck and restaurant, as well as the highest observation deck in the region, the SkyPod.

Historic sites

• Old town hall

Once the only building in the town, this small modernistic building in the Sunfield district was once the main seat of government. With the newer town hall being made and all operations transferred, this building now stands as a museum that can be visited for free.

• Elwood Broadcast Tower

A decommissioned broadcast tower overlooking the bay area, it now houses a walk through museum, with information regarding it's status as a once influential media station for many companies in the past.

Museums and galleries

• Rainer Bay Delta Museum

A museum dedicated to housing the history of the Delta Era of the MRT server, inspired by the Zeta Museum in Sandfield. It is mostly empty, with many future exhibits planned to be installed over time.

Eat

• Ithor's Diner

One of the first buildings built in Rainer Bay, this small diner sits right opposite the old town hall. It has what you'd expect from a typical diner, with some specialty items on the menu, including the Sage's special and clover juice.

• Delford Cafe

A modern coffeehouse in downtown, it has a reputation for having some of the best coffee brewed in the area, as all coffee beans are said to have been sourced locally.

• Southern Pacific Cafè

A small cafè located near the Sunfield Clocktower, this location is unique in its own right by being situated in a decommissioned railcar formerly owned by the Southern Rainer Railroad. Serves small bites, along with a variety of drinks.

Nuuk, a premier city in ward 3 & 4 that has a distinctive small scale, and many different places to explore. It is easily accessible by seaplane.

Clover, a city in the southeastern portion of the new world, with a multitude of architectural styles, accessible by seaplane.

Erzville, a northwestern powerhouse and one of the largest cities in the region. It's easily reachable via helicopter or seaplane.
