The Republic of Victoria, officially the Commonwealth of Victoria, is a country located in the Southern area of the MRT. It is bordered by the City-State of San Vantino to the south and naturally bordered by the Frosted Plains to the north. Victoria is unique as a country because of it’s position of being divided up and split by the Equnoix Ocean and surrounded on the fronts of two uniquely different enviroments.
It’s establishment dates back to 2016, resulting from the series of disputes against the State of Covina. Victoria has a long and uplocked policy of non-conflict neutrality, as it hadn’t fought a war since the Fort Preston Conflict in 2018. Nevertheless, it pursues an active foreign policy and involved in numerous peace-making process around the world of the MRT server. Victoria is a birthsite to Requiem Organization, helping those on the server who don’t know how to build and other international organization.
Victoria as a sovereign state is one of the most developed countries in the world, with the highest nominal wealth per human adult and the eighth-highest per capita gross domestic product. It’s metrics in being on top for several international jobs attracting highly skilled workers and globally is ranked in being 4th for quality of life and competitiveness.
Etymology
The city takes its name from Queen Victoria, who was the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Briain and Ireland from June 20th, 1837 until her death on January 22, 1901. MC_Protocol, the founder of the country named after her due to her influence during the 19th Century The first name "Victoria" itself origins from the Latin word for 'victory' or 'conquer' and is used as the feminine form corresponding to the name Victor. In Roman mythology, Victoria was the name of the goddess of victory, directly corresponding to the Greek goddess Nike.
History
Background
The settlement of humans in the territories began in late 2015, about 4-5 years. By the end of that, areas in the current regions of Victoria would be entered by individuals tribes known as the Roch and Irelian tribes. These individuals had some of their villages located in present-day areas, such as Rose Garden Park, Ivern National Park, and at the ends of Kai'Sa River in Redwood. Meanwhile, Hellenia-speakers in north-west Victoria,united with the Roch to create the Kingdom of Mary Ann in the 9th century. The earliest known cultural tribes in City-State of Rochshire of the area were members of the Balony and La Rènet cultures, named after the archaeological site of La Rènet on the north side of Lake George.
Formation
On 1 February 2016, the Commonwealth of Victoria was formed, the result of Acts of Union being passed by the parliaments of Mary Ann and New Edwards to ratify the 2016 Treaty of Union and so unite the two kingdoms. The creation of cabinet government would be developed by the Lesterans, a group native to the territories of Edwards.
In 2017, the invading allied Covina government conquered Victoria and imposed a new unified constitution. This centralized the government of the country, effectively abolishing the cabinets and parliament as a whole and setting the country as a separate regime. The new regime, known as the reformed Palidin Republic, was highly unpopular. It had been imposed by a foreign invading army and destroyed years of tradition, making Victoria nothing more than a Covina satellite state.
Restoration
In Early 2018 the Victorian Government became fully re-established, independence from Covina and they required you to permanently recognize Victoria neutrality. troops still served foreign governments until 1860 when they fought in the Siege of Terraphoba. The treaty also allowed Victoria to increase its territory, with the admission of the cantons of Coastal Springs and Edwardsburg.
In Mary 9th, 2018, the constitution was revised with unusually strong elements of direct democracy, which remain unique even today.
Modern Day
Victoria hasn't been touch by any foreign power and following a period of widespread economic slowdown and industrial strife in late 2018, the Conservative government of the 2019 under hvt2011 initiated a radical policy of deregulation and reformation in the economy.
