The B65, also known as Southern Wilderness Highway, between Sansvikk and Glacierton is a road which currently links Glacierton and Cactusburg.
History
The road was initially proposed by Yellowitcher to connect Sansvikk and New Southport at the April 2020 GSM, with construction starting afterwards. The road was completed by April 20, 2020. Four months later, in the August 2020 ISM, SansNotLuigi proposed a northern extension to Savannah in August 2020 ISM, with the routing avoiding Stormhold Bay, going via Villanueva instead.
By July 2022, chimata made a plan for a southern extension of B65 to Glaicerton with further extensions planned for Aken Ridge and Finleyville, following the XavierRail corridor, and would be called "Southern Wilderness Highway". During the planning for this extension, there was also an competing plan by Kr4ka, following the same route except labeled as an A road, A66, and planned with the intention of connecting Micha City and Vogel together with the road system.
The road was intended to connect with A62 (now A620) via Savannah's roads upon completion of the B65 northern extension in August 2020, but due to one of the interchanges remaining unfinished by July 2022, jay_planner proposed a northern extension of B65 to Cactusburg, which bypasses Savannah, instead connecting with A620 and Cactusburg. Additionally, the A68 reached Sansvikk, connecting with B65.
Both of the extensions were submitted to July 2022 ISM, where they were approved. The northern extension, led by jay_planner finished in October 2022, and the southern extension was finished by April 2023 when SansNotLuigi built the B65 section between Sansvikk and A68.
There are currently plans to extend the road across MRT Savannah Line, with the segment north of Cactusburg being called Trans-Savannah Highway, and a further extension south to Aken Ridge and Finleyville. Preparation work was done, with a tunnel going under Glacierton and an interchange being built on B659 south of Glacierton, as well a road segment west of Snowydale in August 2023.
