He is a member of the Social Green Party, and currently is part of the cabinet as the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Ribbit was born in Cumberland, Titsensaki, in 1986 to a family of 4, consisting of him, his two parents, and his brother, Toad Ribbit, a successful businessman. In 2006, Ribbit graduated from Auburn Academy and completed his degree in law in 2007 after graduating from Titsensaki Law School. He landed a job as a lawyer for CGBC, which he held for four years between 2008 and 2012. He began is career into elected politics after quitting his job in 2012, citing poor work conditions. In 2013, he ran for deputy mayor of Titsensaki as an independent, however the bid ultimately failed. After a series of debates and public media attention, he was elected as the city transport director in 2014, which he held the job until 2016. Later that year, he ran for mayor of Titsensaki, and won with a margin of just 30,000 votes. He won another two year term as mayor in 2018, and in 2021, after the maximum number of terms, Ribbit ran for president while joining the Social Green Party. He was elected that year along with his running mate, Placto Cabbage, and then was elected again in the second half of the year. He was the second president to serve under the bi-annual election system in Northern Peninsula's history.

Frog Ribbit was born into a middle class family in a Cumberland, Titsensaki, estate. He is the younger brother of Toad Ribbit, who was born in 1982. Born to parents Tadpole Ribbit and Malissa Fenton in 1986, he attended Cumberland Elementary in his early educational years. Before beginning sixth grade, the Ribbit family moved to Xiiona, where he completed middle and high school at Leweder School. After 3 months of extracurricular summer school, Ribbit was accepted into Auburn Academy, and after six semesters, he got his masters in political science, which became a doctoral degree after attending an extra semester of university in 2011. Ribbit also got his degree in law in 2007, in addition to political science. Shortly after graduating, Ribbit was hired by Creeperville and Gardellia Banking Corporation as an asset manager lawyer. After working as a lawyer until 2012, he quit his job and became a politician. In late 2021, Ribbit married his current wife, Kururu Sergeant.

Political views

Ribbit identifies as a progressive, but leans centrist on many issues. He is also big on environmentalism, signing multiple environmental protection bills while in office, including the Green Belt Act of 2021. According to other politicians, such as opposition leader Fiork Knifestone, Ribbit is "solidly left-wing on most issues, but sometimes leans slightly right-wing on others." According to his brother, Toad, Ribbit tends to view things very pragmatically rather than ethically or extremely. In a 2018 interview, Ribbit said that he believes "extremism to be the death of politics," and that "it [extremism] should be avoided at all costs when making important decisions that affect everyone." He is fond of welfare systems to offer support for the poor and underprivileged, but still believes in a free market. Ribbit is often described as a social democrat.
