Polytan Subway
The Polytan Subway is a minecart-based government-owned transit system serving the Republic of Polytan, which includes the cities of Southport-sur-mer, Palestropol, Royalston, Rockley, and Ryanton. The system is an attempted unification of several smaller minecart rails into a coherent network, and major parts are currently still under construction.
History
The oldest predecessor of the current network is the Palestro Metro, which was a subway system exclusively serving Palestropol. As all cities in the region began expanding exponentially, and warprail service took much underground space, planning and construction became more complicated. There was no country-wide rail system for several years, as new tunnels were built but no projects were ever completed.
When ondist and gsuatv resumed work in Polytan, plans began for the network that exists today. It was decided that the routes should be pre-dominantly placed on already existing track, to not over-complicate the construction.
