Aquamarine Bay is an Italian themed town created by Johngi as his first, admittingly small town. Cars are not allowed in the town, and the streets are impossible to navigate using ucars, due to the fact they are slabs. There is a transport system, designed to be extremely easy to navigate, named "AquaMETRO", and the city has many horse stables and feeding stations to aid citizens in transportation.

History

The history of Aquamarine bay (in terms of lore and not what actually happened, although the order of things and history is actually more akin to the order I build things in the game) has a long history:

Early Period

Aquamarine bay was first settled by a small gang of settlers coming from the colder regions of the south in a long and treacherous journey. The south was dry, and often suffered droughts, and so the group decided to make a raft and slowly make themselves north. It is said that they separated from another group, who went south and was never seen again. Going back to Aquamarine bay, the settlers are said to have arrived to the bay with only a cross and a statue of Mary (they had eaten all their food reserves) and were instantly joyful (and worshipping) at the sight of the beautiful bay, with hills, large forests of flowers and trees, and very fertile land. It was almost like the promised land from God in the bible. Alas, the joy was going to be cut short.

Transit

Aquamarine Bay is built by Johngi, who is the co-CEO of IOI and by extension IOI Vehicles, and he has made it his mission to make Aquamarine Bay an easily navigatable town.

Transit to the city

Aquamarine Bay is quite isolated from the world, and as such, there are very little ways to get to the town. Much like Monte Isola, it heavily relies on boats for transportation, itself being a coastline town, and also has a rail line.

Boat

Rail

Aquamarine Bay is connected by RaiLinQ 4000 ST line. The line goes to Wazamawazi, Spring Valley, Nauvis, Moleville, Jeb, Aquamarine Bay and Moton (in that order).

Transit around the city

The town has a few main modes of transport, including horses, walking, and AquaMETRO.

AquaMETRO

AquaMETRO is a modern, cart powered metro system made with the goal of ease of transit. The metro system is free to use for residents and non-residents can travel for a small fee.

The blue line is a small shuttle line running from Grand Central to the Portside Mall.

History
The tunnels for the blue line originally started as excavations beneath the roads of Aquamarine Bay, in a bid by a previous mayor to make the roads across the town ucar-able. After overwhelmingly being voted out of power at the next election, the excavations were left untouched for quite some time.

Sometime later, the current mayor, Johngi, came across the excavations while planning the first metro line, to connect the area around town hall to the future port area. Since they were already there, the Blue Line was built to simply fill in the excavation.

The idea came with some problems. First of all, since it was so close to ground level, and the area was built on an area with a lot of sand, all the sand, even the sand that didn't need to be removed, had to be excavated in some of the areas which were never excavated. Also, it meant the metro had to take a winding path since it followed the above street design.

In the end, the metro overcame these difficulties and the first section of the blue line was built. However, to reach the port, the metro line had to go across the river, a project that is still in progress.
