Lore of the MRT Server
There are several theories made by different players on the "lore" of the MRT Server, pertaining specifically to the New World and Old World.
Miu Wanian Theory
The Miu Wanian Theory, called so by its mayor: HarborRandom852, dictates that both the Old World (known as Alphega) and the New World (known as Gasileta) exist in the same world, in tandem with other Minecraft city-building servers like Wolvhaven. In Harbor's lore, Alphega is located northeast of Gasileta though it is separated by an ocean.
Alphega is largely united in this timeline under the Alphegan Union, with the exception of the City-State of Kitania which owns Kitania. Gasileta on the other hand, while largely united under the Gasiletan Federation, has several independent countries. In addition, the Gasiletan Federation acts more like the real life Holy Roman Empire, with different cities and towns within it acting more independently.
There are several major countries in Gasileta besides the Federation, some of these include the Republic of Bahia, the Republic of Miu Wan, the United States of the East and the Republic of Norwest. Regional MPOs that are not considered countries, like Aurora, are considered countries regardless. In addition, server-wide MPOs like the Republic of Epsilon are non-existent in this timeline. The Federation in lore, is also a recent invention, having been created in the mid 20th century.
Technology in both continents is similiar to our own timeline's, however, commercial space travel with other planets is existent alongside advanced space exploration. Despite this, the culture and attitudes of society remain similar to our own.
Kanatian Theory
The Kanatian Theory, theorized by Kanatian Dr. Phil Jackson of the University of Cornwall and later the Kanatian government's official theory, is that, like the Miu Wanian theory, the New World and Old World are separated by ocean in the northeast. Unlike the Miu Wanian theory this theory suggests that predecessors of Bahia, the Bahinians, discovered the New World and colonized parts of what is now Bahia in 1415. These colonists, now calling themselves Bahians, colonize the far reaches of the world, establishing colonies like Las Playas and Puerto Generico. The Braitesh, a small country in what is now Calgary were starting to colonize other areas too, but not to the vast extent of the Bahians. In 1501, another country in the Old World, Centrealton, went to the very centre of the New World, as they thought it would be a good starting point for their future empire. They founded Central City and reached out to other areas founding the colonies of Carnwill (now Cornwall), New Central City (now New Mayton City), and Dagwod (now Dogwood). The Brietish invaded the Centraller colonies in 1745 and incorporated them into the Brietish Empire, selling the colony of Dagwod to the Republic of Seqouia, which declared independence from Bahia earlier in 1756. Many Brietish colonies declared independence in the late 18th century, including Kanata, Meridia, The Republic of Miu Wan, and Formosa.
Fred Rail Theory
The Fred Rail Theory is a set of lore that grounds the Fred Rail media series. This lore suggests that the seven main worlds of the MRT Server exist as separate locations existing within a pocket universe in the real world. This pocket universe is cube-shaped, with the center void being comprised of the Space World. Each side of the "cube" has a large wormhole connecting to the other worlds plus the real world. Additionally, there are wormholes within each world connecting one to another without the need to physically travel through the Space World. Most wormholes, including the ones to the real world, are located in the atmosphere which allows flights to travel to and from specific worlds. For example, Golden Beach Airways reports multiple flights between the Old World and several United States airports. This can be attributed to several direct wormholes in United States airspace. Multiple airlines also travel freely between the Old and New Worlds, which is also attributed to wormholes.
The exact cause of the MRT Pocket Universe is unclear, although it is presumed to have been formed around the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event which was likely caused by a meteorite. At some time between this and the modern day, parallel evolution took place leading to a vast swath of humanoid and non-humanoid life forms with ranging sentience. At some point in early human history, early humans found an entrance into the Old and New Worlds. These humans also evolved, leading to a slightly different appearance between Old and New World humans and Earth humans. Throughout history, there has been constant multi-cultural contact and influence from various locations on Earth, although this has primarily been one-way due to the higher quality of life found in the Old and New Worlds. At some point in the early middle ages, most land-based wormholes between the two worlds were lost. Despite several recorded instances of explores traveling into the New and Old Worlds, the MRT Pocket Universe and Earth remained relatively separated until the advent of flight in the early 20th century. This reconnection ushered in a new era on both worlds, connecting the New and Old Worlds with each other and Earth.
