Seki City, fully known as Sekibanki City, is an unranked town founded by lightshatterz in June 2021, but not officially recognized as a separate town from Plage Rouge until February 26, 2022.
History
Seki City had a tumultuous history from when it was founded, including being part of Plage Rouge since it was first founded in June 2021, and the town almost being abandoned by its founder, chimata in December 2021. In February 2022, the town of Seki City was formed following a split of Plage Rouge into two towns, divided by a canal built in 2020 by RacCort, with Plage Rouge having the land north of the canal, and Seki City having the land south of it.
Etymology
The name of this city has no relation to the real-life city in Japan with the same name, but rather a shortening from its full name, Sekibanki City, which was named after a character from Touhou Project.
Transportation
Seki City is currently served by RedTransit. IntraRail serves the town in nearby Plage Rouge, across the canal.
