Lakeside City is an unranked town in Ward 8. The mayor is lightshatterz.
Etymology
The name of this city, Lakeside City originates from the town of the same name in Xenon Railways, chimata's railway world. In Xenon Railways, the town is located on the south-east region, being accessed with a bullet train line from the center of this world.
There are two similarly named towns called "Lakeside" elsewhere in MRT, one built by DDaniii_ located at U211 station, and a town built by Souper3860, located southeast of Erzville.
History
When chimata was looking for places to found, they found a snowy tundra off Lake 42, much like their first town, Cirno Bay. The place was claimed at February 19, 2022, and plans were made for this town. However, development did not happen due to the mayor focusing on other towns at time.
In December 3, 2022, Zuoj was appointed as the deputy mayor after becoming the first to leave after a message was sent when chimata was thinking of weird challenge ideas to appoint DMs for their towns.
Around April to May 2023, MRT Union Line was brought to the town by SimonScholar as part of Union Line Phase 7.
Development was finally started when chimata ran out of motivation to build in New Rotterdam and decided to look for other places to build for Union Construction Incentive. After doing a W/E from RainbowSlimee one station down the line, chimata decided to choose Lakeside City.
