The B122 is a double-decker urban B-class highway connecting Creeperville to the B12 at Hendon. It consists of an tolled expressway within Creeperville and motorway within Hendon on the upper deck and a normal city road on the lower deck.
The B122 interchanges to the B123 to Winterside at Kami-Iwahara.
The B122 intersects with the B12 to BirchView, New Phoenix, Ravenna and Titsensaki at Hendon.
The B122 intersects with the B121 to Geneva Bay at the Geneva Bay exit, which is actually located in Hendon.
Route
The route of the B122 starts at the B121 interchange near to the Hendon Ski Resort. The B122 road itself is a dual carriageway/motorway standard to begin with until it reaches Creeperville.
Starting at Junction 12 of the B125 Hendon Orbital Motorway, the road runs alongside the eastern boundary of Hendon. As this section between the B12 and the B121 passes through the east side of the city centre, a speed limit of 50mph (80kmh) is in force for safety reasons.
Approaching the B12 interchange at Junction 10, the B122 passes underneath the road and continues its concurrent with the B125. After the B12 Junction, it passes over the Hendon Mainline to Creeperville and Geneva Bay warprail line, operated half by FrostyRail to Winterside and Creeperville, half by Docklands Transit (new company name to be announced soon) to Geneva Bay and Hendon & Geneva RaiLinQ stations. The road continues with the B125 motorway for a while passing Junction 9 (Hendon Harbour) and Junction 8 (Winterside West) before it then reaches Junction 7 where the B122 splits from the B125 motorway.
At Junction 6/7 (Blue Orchid Interchange), the B122 passes over the interchange and also over the east end of the New Cainport Crossing (a vital crossing for the B125 motorway to link Hendon West and the north side of New Cainport). It then continues as its own dual carriageway road, passing through Moonlight Bay (part of Hendon) before reaching the border between Hendon and Creeperville. There are also signs for Creeperville Airport from Junction 9 of the B125/B122, the sign for the airport will be extended back to the B12 at Junction 10 to avoid confusion and to provide a route to the airport.
After passing over the canal bridge (that allows boats to enter Hendon from the rest of the MRT), the B122 continues through the western portion of Creeperville, passing the link road to the airport and finally entering the city itself.
NOTE: At the current time of this information being published, the B122/B125 concurrency is currently under a review for hard shoulders to be added. Should the review conclude as allowed, this section will be closed at weekends for installation of the hard shoulders. This will also require certain junctions to be upgraded at the same time. Contraflows may be in action during this time and that diversions will be signposted.
