OpenShop is a directory listing of many retail shops and restaurants. Unlike most franchises, OpenShop franchises are not owned or managed by one person, but instead the stores are owned by individuals using the franchise name. The idea was started by thomasfyfe after a couple of members requested to use some of his one-off brand names in their towns.

If you are looking to put shops in your town but are out of ideas or are unable to contact other franchise owners, OpenShop may be the solution for you. Just take a look at the list of franchises and build one to your liking. Using the branding guidelines as an example, you can build a franchise shop in any shape or form you like.

Alternatively, if you have a franchise which you wish to add to the OpenShop range, you are welcome to do so. Just add some branding guidelines, a picture or two and anyone will be able to build an outlet for that franchise.

Please note: copying/pasting directly from shops built by others is highly discouraged. Even with permission, this is also discouraged as it defeats the whole idea of OpenShop.
