The Kitania Public Relations Commission is the government agency of the City-State of Kitania responsible for public statements and press announcements by the City-State's government, as well as relations with its citizens.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - Response To Defamation By Spruce Plains Media - 6/10/2016

The following public statement is issued in response to defamatory comments regarding the City-State of Kitania by Channel 11 in Spruce Plains.

The City-State of Kitania has sanctions issued for all Yaxier Alliance members, as the Yaxier Alliance was created for the purpose of opposing the City-State of Kitania and its allies. These are political sanctions in which the City-State of Kitania will not operate services within the sanctioned state, and the sanctioned government will not be permitted to operate services in the City-State of Kitania.

The Buy n' Large retail outlet in Nippia was seized as it is an operation of the City-State of Siletz, which has been sanctioned by the City-State of Kitania. Buy n' Large is listed as a government agency of the City-State of Siletz, therefore sanctions against Siletz apply to BnL. For this reason, the Nippia Department of Development seized the property in accordance with the Eminent Domain Act of the City-State of Kitania.

Feline Holdings is not affiliated with the City-State of Kitania and therefore does not operate in accordance with City-State of Kitania sanctions. The removal of Feline Holdings property in Spruce Plains was an act of retaliation by the Spruce Plains government.

Had Buy n' Large not been affiliated with the City-State of Siletz, the retail outlet in Nippia would not have been seized.

The Spruce Plains government declared itself an enemy of the City-State of Kitania without the City-State of Kitania acting as an aggressor in any way, and has supported the violent overthrowal of its government. Spruce Plains has attempted numerous times to defame and discredit the City-State of Kitania. This is why the City-State of Kitania also has sanctions against Spruce Plains.

Despite the recent movement to discredit, defame, and overthrow the City-State of Kitania by both the Kitania Communist Party, the Spruce Plains government, and the Yaxier Alliance as a whole, the City-State of Kitania and its allies stand strong and will persevere.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - Response To Janghwa - 5/26/2016

Janghwa has recently announced its departure from the Anti Warsaw Pact Pact. In their explanation they stated their opposition to the system of government used by the City-State of Kitania and implied that the City-State of Kitania is allied with the Kitania Communist Party.

The government of the City-State of Kitania is a dictatorship, similar to Janghwa. Janghwa has never held an election in their history on the MRT.

And the City-State of Kitania is not allied in any way with the Kitania Communist Party. The City-State of Kitania recognizes the Kitania Communist Party as a terrorist organization. The City-State of Kitania does not endorse any statements made by the Kitania Communist Party.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - Seaview Declaration of War Against Waterville - 5/25/2016

The City-State of Kitania strongly condemns the actions of Seaview in declaring war against Waterville. The City-State of Kitania will not directly intervene but will aid Waterville in its defense.

Seaview is already under sanction by the City-State of Kitania for membership in the Yaxier Alliance.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - The City-State of Kitania Will Persevere - 5/21/2016

The City-State of Kitania releases this statement in response to the Yaxier Alliance, whose stated aim is to dismantle the City-State of Kitania. The Yaxier Alliance, including cities such as Formosa and Armada, directly states its mission to be "against Anti Warsaw Pact Pact members, most importantly [the] City-State of Kitania". The criticisms raised by the states which openly declare their hostility to the City-State include the criticism that our system of democracy is rigged, that the KIA is too powerful, and that the President, KittyCat11231, is a tyrant.
Regarding each of these criticisms, we begin with the one that the City-State of Kitania is not actually democratic. That the elections process is rigged in favor of the political establishment. All this shows is that the City-State of Kitania follows the long withstanding tradition of not having democracy on the server. The server itself is not a democracy, and neither are any of the cities which join the Yaxier Alliance, or any other city on the MRT. Storalia proclaims itself a democracy, but the "controlling party" has no real power. Therefore, Storalia, which is used as the poster-child for a democratic city, is no more democratic than the City-State of Kitania. Other cities do not even pretend to have elections, rather the founding mayors remain in permanent power with absolute control.
Secondly, the KIA is argued to be too powerful. The KIA deploys itself to protect the City-State of Kitania and its interests. The KIA is within its full rights to operate as it chooses to protect the City-State. And the member states of the Yaxier Alliance have organizations similar to the KIA which they use to a large extent. Take Formosa, which has the Formosa Armed Forces, or FAF. The FAF deploys itself across the server, and took hostile action against KIA presence near Los Angeles.
And lastly, the argument that the President of the City-State of Kitania is a tyrant is one that ignores literally every other city on the MRT, including every mayor that is part of the Yaxier Alliance. They excersize total and absolute control over their cities, in a way comparable to the City-State of Kitania.
Even with the cities and states lining up to spit on the City-State of Kitania, we will make one thing clear. The City-State of Kitania, and its allies, are proud to exist, and no matter what the Yaxier Alliance or other states and organizations have to say, the City-State of Kitania will not fall. We will persevere.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - Sanctions Against Yaxier Alliance Members - 5/21/2016

The City-State of Kitania has declared sanctions against members of the Yaxier Alliance, as the stated purpose of the organization is to bring down the City-State of Kitania.

These include Formosa and Armada.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - Kitania Communist Party Declared Terrorist Group - 5/21/2016

The City-State of Kitania has declared the Kitania Communist Party a terrorist organization and has ended all diplomatic ties with Crystal City and Spruce Plains, following an attempted government takeover.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - Secession of Arendale - 5/12/2016

The City-State of Kitania has declared the secession of Arendale from the City-State.

Arendale, located at  T22 , was originally founded by colaja953, and passed ownership to Music3_0. When he was banned, Arendale became an occupied territory of the City-State of Kitania, although not a full province.

The City-State of Kitania has transferred control of Arendale to The Royal Ferry Monarchy.

PUBLIC STATEMENT - Dissolution of the League of Cities - 4/26/2016

The League of Cities has been scheduled to dissolve on May 1st, following a resolution which voted to dissolve the organization.

The City-State of Kitania under the Kitania Diplomatic Commission voted in favor of Resolution 31, which proposed the dissolution of the League of Cities.

The City-State of Kitania under the Kitania Diplomatic Commission will continue to maintain diplomatic relations with other cities and states.
