Chicagoland, formerly known as Mesacago, is a councillor-ranked town that was founded by Minecraft252. Chicagoland was founded on November 16, 2021, and is located at the WS26 MRT station which is the historic location for the M56 MRT station. Minecraft252 was allocated the M56 MRT station at the November 2021 GSM.

General Information

The WS26 MRT station helps transport folks to and from the town with ease. The town currently contains quite a few completed buildings and features several other buildings under construction. Chicagoland is home to several roads. The town has many unnamed walking paths with some bicycle infrasturcture. The mayor of Chicagoland is Minecraft252 while the deputy mayor of Chicagoland is TheThirdOdd. Chicagoland is located west of Tembok. As of May 10, 2022, Chicagoland has one suburb town: Toyota. Toyota is located just south of Chicagoland. Calumet is a town by kingsnake located south of Chicagoland as of February 12, 2023. While Chicagoland lacks a town park currently, the town does offer a town beach called Chicagoland Public Beach. On May 3, 2022, the town received promotion to councillor. On July 13, 2022, three buildings were built for a housing development called Mesacago Anniversary Point Housing Development. This housing development was built for the MRT 10th Anniversary. On February 2, 2023, both Groundhog Day Theatre and Chicagoland Ice Hockey Arena was constructed within Chicagoland. On February 5, 2023, the Chicagoland Opera Company was founded within the town. On February 5, 2023, Chicagoland Farms was created within the town. On February 7, 2023, Chicagoland Sunflower Fields was created within the town. On February 11, 2023, Chicagoland Aquarium, Chicagoland International School, and Chicagoland Bamboo Trust was constructed within Chicagoland. On February 12 and 13, 2023, Michael Jackson Convention Centre was constructed within Chicagoland. On February 14, 2023, Valentines Day Music Venue along with a few other music venues opened within the town. John Hancock Tower was constructed within town on February 15, 2023, and is nowadays the tallest building in all of Chicagoland. John Hancock Tower serves as an office building. On February 16, 2023, The Ultimate Church was constructed within a seven-floor building in town and offers several floors for church services. On February 17, 2023, The Chicagoland Tribune Headquarters was constructed bringing a news service to town called The Chicagoland Tribune named in honour of the irl Chicagol, Illinois, newspaper called The Chicago Tribune. The A6 connects Chicagoland with Tembok, Chan Bay though off another road, and Deadbush. On February 18, 2023, West Zeta Rail opened up train service within Chicagoland on the Dewford Shuttle train route serving from Dewford City to Tembok via Rosebridge and Chicagoland. The West Zeta Rail train station within Chicagoland was constructed by chimata on February 14, 2023.

Higher Education

Bristol International University Mesacago Campus

On December 7, 2021, Bristol International University Mesacago Campus was chartered. The campus currently contains four buildings. The name of the campus will likely change someday though this campus has not gone through any change of name as of yet.

Mesacago Mesa

Mesacago Mesa is a user-made mesa area that has been built within Chicagoland. It is located in the central part of Chicagoland. This will likely cease to exist someday.

Chicagoland Shopping Complex

On March 15, 2022, Mesacago Shopping Complex was constructed and contains several stores, restaurants, and services including a spleef store and a carpet store among others. On February 14, 2023, the shopping complex changed its name to Chicagoland Shopping Complex. This shopping complex is not considered a mall.

Etymology

Chicagoland's original name, Mesacago, was a portmanteau of Chicago (an American city in real life) and the Mesa MRT train line. On January 31, 2023, the town of Mesacago was renamed to Chicagoland. The town changed its name to Chicagoland to better reflect the future plan of the town to look more like the real life Chicago and its suburbs. That effort is taking shape today in fact.

Nearby Towns

Tembok is located east of Chicagoland. Rosebridge is located west of Chicagoland. While Chicagoland has MRT service, NewRail FLR provides warp train service in both nearby Tembok and Rosebridge. Idk is located a fair distance southwest of Chicagoland with Cairnhill also being located southwest of Chicagoland. Both Union Island and Dover is located northwest of Chicagoland. Toyota is the lone suburb of Chicagoland and is located just south of Chicagoland. Calumet is located south of Chicagoland in its own right. The mayor of Calumet is kingsnake.
