Global Affairs Pixl (GAP) is the department in the Government of Pixl that manages its diplomatic and consular relations. One of the goals of GAP is to facilitate the growth and expansion of cities and regions across the MRT, and ultimately see the MRT flourish with rich life and culture.
GAP manages the many embassies of Pixl, and maintains government offices abroad with diplomatic and consular status. GAP also provides foreign aid to other cities, and works in conjunction with the Pixl Armed Forces to provide military assistance if needed. GAP encourages International Trade, not just between Pixl and other cities, but also helps create trades between cities.
Global Affairs Pixl Offices are multi purpose spaces. For citizens, they serve as a single-point of access to consular services from Estify Region cities. Host cities gain access to Pixl's Government as a Service (GaaS), allowing them to have access to turnkey digital government services, development and funding (such as buildings, road, and transit), consulting, a space to host any diplomatic meetings between governments, and more.
Additionally, most GAP skyscrapers have rentable office floors. This adds extra utility to GAP offices in their host cities, and provides an additional revenue stream for Global Affairs Pixl.
History
Global Affairs Pixl was founded on July 30, 2017. Construction of the GAP HQ in Central City began on that same day.
The decision to build the headquarters in Central City rather than in Pixl was decided by Seshpenguin. A neutral location was decided (in this case, Central City), to help promote the fact that GAP is not only focused on only Pixl, but rather the server as a whole.
